Las Vegas, NV - NAB2001 April 23, 2004– VMC Holdings Group introduces the MiniXBox HDUC the first affordable yet full-featured Up Converter for the video industry.

The MiniXBox HDUC provides many of the same features found in other Up Converters at a fraction of the price. Standard features include real time 4:3, 16:9 and anamorphic stretch aspect ratio controls, complete zoom control, advanced filters and digital HDTV outputs in all the popular formats.

The HDUC's high image quality is achieved via proprietary conversion technology that evaluates the video source characteristics and selects the appropriate filter and conversion algorithms. Separate horizontal and vertical filters provide an extra level of control for the elimination of flicker, alias and Moiré patterns.  The MiniXBox includes a color bar pattern generator with over 10 color bar patterns.

The HDUC is housed in a compact 2U chassis. The front panel has a four line LCD display that provides access to all of the HDUC's functions.  The HDUC can accept the standard definition digital input formats including 525, 625 and off-speed PAL.  The HDUC will output the HDTV 720p, 1080i, 480p, 24p, 24sf, 1080i/50 and 1080i/47.95 digital video formats.
